Parliamentary candidate for Amenfi East in the Western region, Nicholas Amankwah has confirmed reports of his attack as true;
According to him he does not have any quarrel with anybody in his work as a politician, and therefore is very surprised at the unexpected attack.
Adding that, in case anyone has an issue with him, then it is on his good work and delivery to the people endearing him in the constituency as an enemy or maybe a threat.
Speaking on Ahotor 92.3 Fm’s ADEKYEE MU NSEM, Mr. Amankwah narrated that around 3am this, whiles asleep, he heard sounds of gunshot in his house as his mother screamed, questioning the gunmen’’ so are you coming to kill Nico? After which the mother lost consciousness.
Mr. Amankwa said he had to use the back door into a school which shares a wall with them to save his life because police though had been called, have not yet arrived at the scene.
Currently police have one of the culprits in their custody for further investigation as neighbors helped with arrest.
Mr. Amankwah is in hiding now as his mother receives treatment from the hospital.
