I challenge Freddy Blay for a Debate on Infrastructure- Ampofo

The National Chairman for the NDC, Dr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, has thrown a challenge to the Chairman of the NPP, Mr. Freddy Blay to a debate on provisions of infrastructural facilities for the good people of Ghana between both parties.

Debates and public discourse about which party has provided the most developments for the masses has been a subject of discussion since the inception of the Akufo Addo led government assumed the reigns power in 2017.

Key among the much talked about development projects are the just commissioned Ports expansion projects, Tema Motorway dualisation road project, Kwame Nkrumah interchange Project, and the ongoing project at Pokuase all in the Greater Accra region.

Not all, there are several developmental projects currently being under construction across the sixteen regions which critics of the Akufo Addo led regime says the government has failed in crediting the previous administration for the commencement of majority of these infrastructures in the country before they assumed power.

Reacting to topical issues on AHOTOR FM, Mr. Ampofo express disappointment at government for unduly taken glory for absolutely no work done in their tenure.

He said, the NPP have not performed any meaningful projects since coming into office but the government always find space to throw mud at the previous NDC Regime for doing little on development.

The Chairman of the NDC similarly describe the NPP administration as merely engaging in populism and populist expedition which would not be able to stand the test of time.

He urge the government and functionaries of the NPP to desist from crediting themselves for no work done when it comes to debates on provision of infrastructure, and challenge Mr. Baly for a real showdown over which among both the NPP and NDC is best place in providing development for the nation.

The NDC has battled the Nana Addo led government over government’s incendiary motives to take credit for what the NDC termed as ” Mahama Projects”

Ahead of the 2016 Polls, the then opposition NPP comically described developmental Projects initiated by the both NDC 1& 2 regimes as mere “Photoshop Projects”

The NDC has insistently defended projects they undertook in government, and inadvertently demanded record and audits of projects which the New Patriotic Party have bequeathed the people of Ghana.

The NDC Chief scribe speaking on Adekye Mu Nsem, said he is challenging the NPP for a debate, and that preferably the National Chairman of the party, Mr. Freddy Blay must be the one leading the call.

Mr. Ofosu Ampofo told Citizen Kofi Owusu that he is ready to debate Mr. Blay on any forum on the subject on infrastructure.
