Augustine Okrah has apologised for the headbutting incident that saw him sent off in the MTN FA Cup final between Bechem United and Hearts of Oak.
The forward received his marching orders in the 68th minute of the final game for his unsporting behaviour against a lineman.
However, the former Asante Kotoko player via his social media handle apologised for his behaviour.
“I am extremely sorry and remorseful for the harm I caused including hurting sentiments. I am ashamed of myself for having behaved in such a manner,” part of his statement read.
Bechem United despite taking an early lead saw Hearts of oak come from behind to win 2-1 and defend the title.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association is yet to issue any statement on the incident.
