Political Analyst Nana Amirekyi Ntow has praised Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Hon. Mathew Opoku Prempeh (A.K.A NAPO), for agreeing to be the running mate for another mate.
Ntow expressed that he was not surprised by this move and commended NAPO for his decision.
Speaking on Adekye Nsroma, as monitored by Onokwafo Yaw Asiedu, Ntow explained that there was considerable pressure on the flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as many people were advocating for NAPO.
He suggested that failing to follow public sentiment could have jeopardized the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Ntow described the choice of the Energy Minister as Dr. Bawumia’s running mate as a strategic move, noting that the decision bypassed the NPP party’s council of elders and went straight to the President for endorsement.
He remarked that it was unprecedented for national security to investigate the selection of a running mate for a political party.
In conclusion, Ntow predicted that the 2024 general elections would bring many surprises and urged people to brace themselves for unexpected developments.
