The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Hon. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo has described as mere propaganda and mischief claims that being an elder of the Church of Pentecost makes him weak to lead the NDC.
Speaking to Kakeeku on a Lashibi based Radio station , Ahotor 92.3 , the National Chairman rounded such claims are mere political propaganda by some individuals who are only interested in mischief. He recounted numerous roles he’s played for the NDC despite being an Elder.
“I was the National organiser of the NDC, in fact , the longest serving National organiser in the history of the party, we worked hard for the party to win elections in 2008 despite having all the odds against us then, I was an elder and I never showed any weakness at all, I am strong and competent in what I do and you can check the records.
“Apart from teaching for few years… I have served the NDC my entire life and I have never shown any weakness.. those who know me know me to be strong and resilient not a weak one”
He further pointed to various capacities he has held till date and concluded his competence is in no doubt.
“Check various positions I have held, the fact is you can’t blow your own trumpet but I remain focused and committed to what I do and I am also proud a Elder of the Chuch of Penticost because God has been so good to me and I can’t denounce him. He has brought me this far and my faith in Him remains unshakeable.”
“This is politics and sometimes you will find one or two people who will be engaging in this kind of mischief and propaganda for personal reasons. People must understand that leadership is not about being aggressive or violent, you need to be strategic, visionary and reasonable to lead” He concluded.
