I Am A Product Of All Regional Games – Former Asante Kotoko Goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad Confesses
The former goalkeeper of Asante Kotoko, Ibrahim Danlad, has opened up about the foundation of his football career, attributing his success to his participation in regional games across Ghana.
The 23 year old goalkeeper in a candid reflection, confessed that the rigorous competition and exposure from these games were pivotal in shaping his journey to becoming a professional footballer. The exposure from regional games eventually opened doors for him, leading to his recruitment by Asante Kotoko. His performances at these grassroots levels did not go unnoticed, and his dedication and hard work paved the way for his ascent at Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Ibrahim Danlad also emphasized the importance of regional games in unearthing and nurturing young talent across Ghana , and remains grateful for the opportunities and experiences that regional games afforded him. He encourages young, aspiring footballers to take advantage of these competitions, emphasizing that they are stepping stones to greater achievements.
His exceptional performances earned him call-ups to all of Ghana’s national teams, including the U17, U20, U23, Black Galaxies, and Black Stars.
Ibrahim Danlad won the Ghana Premier league trophy in 2021/22 with Kumasi Asante Kotoko but parted ways with the club after the 2023/24 season.
