The House of Love Assemblies of God Church in Community 18, Lashibi, Tema, near the Old Lashibi School, organized a special thanksgiving service in honor of Hon. Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, the Member of Parliament for the Krowor Constituency. The event celebrated her appointment and elevation to the esteemed office of Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection.
The service was graced by Rev. Stephen Yenusom Wengam, the General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, and Vice Chairman of the Africa Assemblies of God.
Speaking to Ahotor News, Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey expressed profound gratitude to the church and pastors within her constituency for their unwavering support and prayers during her journey, especially the election period. “We all know that it takes the hand of God to perform wonders. He has done it before, and I trusted Him to do it again. By His grace, He has indeed done it,” she stated with heartfelt emotion.
Dr. Lartey emphasized the importance of service to humanity, equating it to service to God. Reflecting on the occasion, she explained, “As leaders, we have always strived to serve the nation to the best of our ability. Today, as the Lord has honored us, we felt it necessary to come together under the leadership of our head pastor to thank God and renew our commitment to serving Him through our work.”
She reassured Ghanaians and President John Dramani Mahama of her dedication to fulfilling her mandate. “We are committed to ensuring that the President’s vision is realized. We will not let the church, the people of Ghana, or the work of God down,” she affirmed.
The event also served as a moment of spiritual renewal and inspiration, with congregants and leaders rededicating themselves to God’s purpose. Dr. Lartey encouraged all present to keep God at the center of their work and actions, pledging that her team would continue to deliver even greater results in their service to the nation.
The thanksgiving service was a powerful reminder of the role of faith in leadership and the importance of seeking divine guidance in fulfilling one’s responsibilities.
