Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, Ghana’s Minister for Education, has announced plans to revive the Parents and Teachers Associations (PTAs) in school management.

This move aims to give PTAs a voice in shaping the future of students, ultimately producing quality human capital for the country.

Speaking at the launch of the Okaikwei South schools’ renovation project, Iddrisu praised the contributions of PTAs during their active period.

He emphasized the need for their support in resetting the education sector under President John Dramani Mahama’s leadership and the NDC.

Iddrisu also commended Hon. Ernest Adomako, Member of Parliament for Okaikwei South, for his initiative to renovate educational infrastructure in the constituency. He encouraged the public to support Adomako’s efforts.

This development is part of the government’s efforts to improve the education sector, which has been a key focus area for the NDC administration.

By re-establishing PTAs, the government hopes to foster greater collaboration between parents, teachers, and the community to enhance the quality of education in Ghana.
