Touching on the records of the party since 1992, he admitted the 2020 elections is one the NDC witnessed massive improvement in its performance and being the only party in opposition to elect the Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament is commendable. He credited the current leadership of the party for leading the party to attain such a great feast against all the odds the NDC faced during the 2020 elections.
” If you do the analysis from 1992, this was the first time a party in opposition in Ghana has elected a Speaker of Parliament and its because of the hardwork of this leadership……”
He therefore called for unity in the party especially among the leadership to work together as a team ahead of 2024 election. He again called on the supporters of the party to rally behind the current leadership led by Chairman Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo to lead the party to victory 2024. He indicated that victory for the party in election 2024 may not come easy, the reason individuals must bury their personal agendas that will hurt and generate conflict in the party by making the interest of the party a priority.
