Hon Alhaji Amadu Sorogo to chair National Fertilizer Council of Ghana

Former Member of Parliament for Madina Constituency, Hon. Amadu Bukari Sorogo, has been appointed by the Government of Ghana as the chairman of the National Fertilizer Council of Ghana (NFCG).
The appointment was announced by the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA).
During the swearing-in ceremony, which took place on Tuesday, 30 December 2025, at the ministry’s conference room, Hon. Amadu Sorogo expressed gratitude to President H.E. John Dramani Mahama and the two ministers of MoFA for the confidence reposed in him and the board.


He pledged to work diligently toward the betterment of agriculture and food security in the country.
Sorogo used the occasion to highlight sector-specific challenges and urged the government to address them to enable the NFCG to discharge its duties effectively.
He also called on the newly sworn-in members to support him in pursuing his reset agenda and to uphold the government’s expectations.
