HeFRA warns all health facilities in Ghana to complete their licensing process or face penalties

The Health Facilities Regulatory Agency (HeFRA) has issued a warning to all health facilities in Ghana to complete their licensing process or face penalties.

According to HeFRA, facilities that don’t comply will be fined, closed, or face other penalties as outlined in Article 829 of the Health Institutions and Facilities Act, 2011.

HeFRA is responsible for registering, inspecting, licensing, and monitoring all public and private health facilities in the country.

The agency is urging stakeholders to reach out if they have any questions or concerns about the licensing process before the deadline.

It’s worth noting that HeFRA was established by the Health Institutions and Facilities Act, 2011, to ensure that all health facilities in Ghana meet certain standards.

The agency’s goal is to protect the health and well-being of Ghanaians by regulating the healthcare industry.
