Hearts of Oak to Respond to GFA Charges, Says PRO Kwame Opare Addo

Hearts of Oak’s Communications Director, Kwame Opare Addo, has confirmed that the club will officially respond to the charges levelled against them by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) following incidents in their 1-0 loss to Asante Kotoko.

Speaking to Asempa FM, Opare Addo said the club is reviewing the GFA’s decision and will take the appropriate steps in its response. “We will look at the charge and respond appropriately,” he said. “If apology is part of the response, so shall it be.”

Hearts of Oak faces disciplinary action for allegedly failing to control its supporters, while defender Hussein Mohammed has been charged with assaulting match officials. The club’s unbeaten run ended with the defeat, and they currently occupy sixth place on the league table with 16 points.

Hearts of Oak will face Swedru All Blacks in their Matchday 10 encounter this weekend at the Swedru Sports Stadium. The club is focused on putting the incident behind them and securing a win to get back on track.
