Hearts of Oak Open Accreditation for Super Clash vs. Asante Kotoko

Accra Hearts of Oak have officially opened media accreditation for the highly anticipated season-opening Super Clash against arch-rivals Asante Kotoko, scheduled for Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.The fixture marks Matchday 9 of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League and promises to reignite one of African football’s fiercest rivalries.

Both clubs head into the encounter in buoyant mood following convincing victories in their previous league outings. Asante Kotoko demolished Karela United 4-2 in Kumasi, with goals from Hubert Gyau (brace), Peter Amidu, and Seth Kwadwo, while Karela replied through Bless Ege and Abdul Yaya Rahman.

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak edged Basake Holy Stars 2-1 at home, courtesy of strikes from Hamza Issah and Frank Duku; Holy Stars pulled one back via Issah Yakubu.

With the Phobians hosting at their traditional fortress, the Accra Sports Stadium is expected to be packed to capacity. Accreditation applications for journalists, photographers, and broadcasters are now open via the club’s official channels, with a deadline set for Friday to ensure smooth operations on match day.

This edition of the Super Clash carries extra significance as both teams look to assert early dominance in the title race.
