Hearts of Oak MD Urges Fans to Be Patient

Hearts of Oak Managing Director Delali Anku-Adiamah has called on fans to be patient with the team as they undergo a rebuilding phase.

Anku-Adiamah acknowledged the club’s mixed performances this season have sparked frustration among supporters.

However, he emphasized that stability and long-term planning are crucial for the club’s success, even if it means enduring short-term setbacks.

“Football is not that simple,” Anku-Adiamah noted, citing the example of Manchester United, a club with significant resources still navigating challenges.

Anku-Adiamah highlighted the progress made so far, stating, “If last year we were fighting relegation, this year we are not fighting relegation… So again, we need to go through that painful period where we put things right.”

He stressed the importance of patience, allowing the club time to implement its plans and achieve long-term success.

Anku-Adiamah drew parallels with Sir Alex Ferguson’s rebuilding of Manchester United, which took six years to yield results. He urged fans to be patient and trust the process, promising that progress will be evident over time.

Hearts of Oak, currently sixth in the league, will face Accra Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, aiming to end the season on a high note.
