Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has finally arrived in Japan to join the Black Stars camp, just in time for their international friendly against Japan in the Kirin Challenge Cup.
Asare, who played a crucial role in Ghana’s qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, is expected to join the team’s final training session at the Toyota Stadium in Aichi.
Asare’s arrival completes the squad, bringing the number of players in camp to 22. He has been in impressive form, making six appearances and keeping five clean sheets in Ghana’s World Cup qualification campaign.
The Black Stars will face Japan on Friday, November 14, 2025, before taking on South Korea four days later as part of their build-up to next year’s World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
