Hearts of Oak coach attributes low scoring rate to lack of strikers in the team.
Accra Hearts of Oak SC head coach Martin Koopman has expressed disappointment in his team’s ineffectiveness in converting goal scoring chances.
In a post-match interview after their goalless draw game with Dreams FC, coach Koopman emphasized that although he is satisfied with the performance but he has no striker to convert the chances into the back of the net .
“Defending we are very strong and in finishing we miss something and that’s the reason this game is a draw. We have no striker I tell you again we have no striker. Issah Kuka is going abroad and we have no striker back so we missed a striker. Do you think Kashala was good when playing? No, he was not good. Hamza Issah is young; he is a fighter, and that was the next option.”
The Phobians have scored only one goal against Nsoatreman FC in match-week two , after four league matches in the 2023/24 Betpawa Premier League season’s campaign.
Hearts of Oak has four points in four league games this season and ranks 15th in the 18 team league standings.
