Mr. Ernest Ansong, marketing manager for Health Top Up Services, and the importer for Aquatab water purification and treatment tablets on Sunday delivered a one hundred (100 packs) valued at Ghc 2000 market price to Advocate Group, Drink Safe Water.
Mr. Ansong delivering the products told DSWG, Mr. Fred Amui Tei in Accra that, it was the company’s support to assist the advocate group in their call for safe water and sanitation in the country.
Mr. Ansong disclosed that, even though water is life, it becomes poisonous when dangerous pollutants and chemicals find their way through them.
He advised that, Ghanaians should help in the protection of the environments by sustainable actions on land and water resources.
He urged Drink Safe Water Ghana group to continue relentlessly with its efforts in promoting SDG 6, which seek to ensure clean water and sanitation by 2020 and 2030.
Aquatabs was first introduced in Ghana by the USAID Sustainable Change in 2006 and distributed over 11 million tablets in 2015.
Mr. Fred Amui Tei, an Executive Member who received the products on behalf of Drink Safe Water Ghana, thanked Mr. Ernest Ansong for his inspiration to the action on safe Water and sanitation.
President of the Group and lecturer at the Pentecost University, Dr. Paul Adjei Onyina also reiterated the commitment and Aid will provide an alternative to solving the water challenges.
Chairman of Drink Safe Water Ghana, and P. R, Mr. Issaka Amon Kotei local governance expert said, the partnership is a wonderful one and timely when many water resources this time are dried up, compelling people to drink from unworthy sources.
In a development, Executive Coordinator, Mr. Krobea Asante expressed his pleasure for the products.
He said doing just education without providing solutions is a reproach to development and initiative drive.
