Hajia Guda Challenges Interior Minister to Provide Evidence on HIV Screening Claims

Hajia Guda has challenged the Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, to provide evidence to support claims regarding the HIV-related medical screening of some recently recruited security personnel, insisting that her own medical test results do not support the explanation attributed to the minister.

The challenge has sparked renewed public debate over the medical screening process for some security service recruits, following remarks reportedly made by the Interior Minister concerning HIV-related test results.

According to Hajia Guda, the outcome of her medical examination differs from the explanation that has been presented publicly. She has therefore called on the minister to disclose any evidence supporting the claims.

The issue has generated widespread discussion on social media, with many Ghanaians calling for greater transparency, while others have urged caution, noting that the matter involves confidential medical information.

As of the time of filing this report, the Interior Minister had not publicly responded to Hajia Guda’s latest challenge.

The matter is expected to attract further public attention as stakeholders await clarification from the relevant authorities.
