GWL Announces Temporary Water Supply Interruption In Amasaman District

The Ghana Water Limited (GWL) has announced a temporary suspension of water supply to its Amasaman District customers, citing critical maintenance works at its Nsawam Treatment Plant. This essential upkeep, slated to take place from March 1 to March 7, 2025, will necessitate a reduction in water production, thereby impacting supply to various communities.

The affected localities include Amasaman Township, Abehenease, Toman, Sapeiman, Pobiman, Obeyeyie, Daaresalam, Fise, Amanfrom, and parts of Pokuase, as well as surrounding communities. In light of this temporary disruption, GWL is urging residents in these areas to stockpile sufficient water for use during the maintenance period.

According to a statement issued by Solace A. M. Akomeah, Communications Manager, Accra West Region, the GWL apologizes for the inconvenience this may cause and reassures customers that the maintenance works are aimed at enhancing the overall reliability of the water supply system. By undertaking these critical repairs, the GWL seeks to ensure a more consistent and efficient water supply for its valued customers.
