GUTA Applauds 2025 Budget, Calls for Effective Implementation

The President of the Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA) has welcomed the 2025 Budget Statement, stating that the government has demonstrated good intentions towards economic recovery and business growth.

Speaking after the budget presentation by Finance Minister, Hon. Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the GUTA President expressed optimism about the government’s commitment to addressing key economic concerns, including taxation, trade policies, and business support.

“We acknowledge the efforts of the government in outlining measures to stabilize the economy, support businesses, and promote growth. The budget shows good intentions, and we hope its implementation will bring relief to traders and the business community,” he stated.

The 2025 Budget includes provisions aimed at reducing the burden on businesses, supporting local industries, and promoting exports.
The government also outlined policies to enhance tax compliance while ensuring fairness in the tax regime.

GUTA urged the government to ensure that the budget’s promises translate into real economic impact by addressing challenges such as high inflation, exchange rate fluctuations, and access to credit for businesses.

The President of Ghana Union of Traders Association is hopeful that the implementation of 2025 budget will provide the necessary boost to the economy and create a more favorable business environment in 2025.
