GPL TRANSFER: HARUNA SHAIBU MOVES TO BEREKUM CHELSEA FROM KRYSTAL PALACE


Haruna Shaibu, an offensive midfielder who plays for Akosombo Krystal Palace in the Zone 3 of the National division one league has made a permanent move to Premier league side Berekum Chelsea on a 3-year deal.
Haruna, who has played 8 matches for Krystal Palace since the beginning of the 2021/2022 season has spent 434 minutes on the pitch.

He started 5 matches (Youngwise, Susubiribi, Uncle T, Vision, & Kotoku), was unused substitute for 2 matches (Inter Allies and Mighty Jets), came on as sub for 3 matches (All Stars, Liberty, & Kwaebibirem) and played the entire duration for 2 matches (Uncle T & Kotoku) and missed the trip to Kpando.

He also played full throttle in the MTN Fa Cup R64 match against Vision at Tema on Dec 24, 2021.
The 23 years, with abilities in possessing the ball, giving wonderful passes plus delivering long power drives, will add to the quality of the Blues midfield.

Haruna, who had stints with Inter Allies in the 2016/2017 Premier League season, started for Dream Chasers in Akosombo and has also played for Right to Dream (2015) and Penn Fc (2018) in America.

He is expected to be officially unveiled before the start of the second round.
Berekum Chelsea are currently 12th on the premier league table with 18 points and will be away to Dreams Fc at the Theatre of Dream on Sunday for their week 16 tie.
