Ghana’s Para-Athletes Coach Calls for Financial Support Ahead of 2024 Paris Olympics

As the 2024 Paris Olympics approaches, Ghana’s para-athletes are preparing for the prestigious event filled with excitement and anticipation, coach Ibrahim Aminu Suleman has sounded an urgent call for financial support to ensure these athletes receive adequate preparations.

In a recent interview on anther platform, coach Suleman highlighted the determination and resilience of the para-athletes but pointed out that they are often forced to train in less-than-ideal conditions due to financial constraints . He expressed that para-athletes face additional challenges compared to their able-bodied counterparts, making financial support even more critical. The right resources can mean the difference between competing and winning medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Coach Suleman indicated that although the had a good preparation before they departed to compete at Morocco , but believes they can do much better if all their financial demands are met to compliment their effort.

In preparation for the 2024 Paris Olympics, the coach and team have developed a comprehensive training plan that includes specialized coaching, access to advanced training equipment, and participation in international competitions. However, implementing this plan requires significant funding, which the coach hopes to secure through sponsorships, government support, and community contributions.

The call for financial support for Ghana’s para-athletes is a critical step toward ensuring a successful showing at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
