Ghana’s ORAL Committee Uncovers Over $21 Billion in Looted Assets, President Orders Immediate Action

At the presentation of its final report at the presidency, the chairman of the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, disclosed shocking findings that could help Ghana reclaim billions in misappropriated funds and assets.

According to the report, only 36 out of over 2,000 complaints investigated had the potential to recover a staggering $20.49 billion in financial cases alone.

Additionally, state lands under review were estimated at $702.8 million, bringing the total estimated recoverable value to $21.19 billion.

Upon receiving the report, President John Dramani Mahama wasted no time in taking action.

He immediately forwarded the findings to the Attorney General, ordering a full-scale investigation and prosecution of those found culpable.
