Medeama SC delivered a commanding and clinical performance at the TnA Stadium on Sunday, brushing aside Young Apostles with a thoroughly convincing 3–0 victory that further strengthened their position at the summit of the Ghana Premier League.
The Mauve and Yellow asserted their authority early in the contest, dominating possession and creating sustained pressure on the visitors’ defence. Midfielder Fuzy Taylor broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute, calmly slotting home after the home side had patiently built up play, setting the tone for what would become another authoritative display.
Just twelve minutes later, right-back Kamaradini Mamudu doubled the advantage with a well-taken finish in the 34th minute, effectively putting the game beyond Young Apostles before halftime and highlighting Medeama’s ruthless edge in front of goal during the opening period.
After the break, Young Apostles pushed for a response in search of a way back into the match, but they repeatedly came up against a well-organized and disciplined Medeama backline that refused to offer any clear openings. The hosts remained in firm control throughout the second half, comfortably managing the tempo and limiting their opponents to very few threatening moments.
The result was put completely beyond any doubt in the 85th minute when substitute Prince Owusu found the net, capping off a dominant team performance and sealing an emphatic clean-sheet victory.
This latest success sees Medeama extend their lead at the top of the table to five points (with some reports noting four points depending on concurrent results), underlining their serious credentials as they chase a second league title under coach Ibrahim Tanko’s guidance. Their form at the TnA Stadium remains particularly formidable, continuing an impressive run of results on home soil.
Meanwhile, Young Apostles stay rooted in 14th place with 21 points, their struggles on the road showing no immediate signs of easing as they face an uphill battle to climb away from the lower reaches of the standings.
With this result, Medeama once again demonstrated the consistency, attacking quality, and defensive solidity that have made them the team to beat in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign so far.
