Ghana placed in pot 2 for the 2023 AFCON final draw.

Ghana has been placed in pot 2 ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations draw.

The Black Stars of Ghana secured their qualification to the 2023 AFCON after beating Central Africa Republic 2-1 in Kumasi.

Defending champions Senegal, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Algeria, Egypt and Tunisia are also in pot 1.

Pot 2 consist of Ghana , Nigeria, Cameroon, Mali, Burkina Faso and DR Congo.

South Africa, Cape Verde, Guinea, Zambia, Equatorial Guinea and Mauritania are in pot 3.

Pot 4 is made up of Angola, Guinea Bissau, Namibia, Tanzania, Mozambique and Gabon.

The draw will determine the groupings for the tournament, and teams from different pots will be grouped into six groups for the competition.

The 24 teams will be drawn into six groups of four.

The draw ceremony for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations will take place in Cote d’Ivoire on Thursday, October 12.
