Ghana National Association of Garages Proposes a Collaborative Partnership with the gov’t to Repair Damaged Vehicles – Francis Nomo Tetteh

Governance is a shared responsibility during a press conference the communications director of the Ghana National Association of Garages lamented, that over 61 ambulances out of the 360 ambulances that the government purchased are damaged. And also over 100 metro mass busses are not in good use.

He stated that as an institution that works with vehicles, which comprises mechanics, welders, electricians, sprayers, etc. we are calling on the government to partner with the Ghana National Association of Garages to repair these vehicles for free if the government is ready to buy all parts that will be used in the services of these vehicles.

He stated that the Ghana National Association of Garages is 40 years old and as part of their 40th anniversary, they are ready to render their service to the government for free as part of their social responsibilities.

We believe agencies like the ministries, and birth and death registry among others where vehicles have been packed for so many years with minus problems, let’s come together, bring all these vehicles to us and we shall fix all these vehicles and they will be back to the road to work.

He pleaded with the media to take interest in the informal sector to speak on these issues, it’s been so many years now no even one media house has elaborately spoken on these issues concerning these vehicles, I think when these vehicles are working, it will be the benefit to the government because they will be transporting government workers to their various sectors which will increase productivity when getting to work early unlike when the person has to join Trotro to work or this vehicle can be given to them on high purchase and it will deduct from their salaries, all to the benefit of the country he stated.
