The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is in talks with Austria for a potential friendly match ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
GFA’s Director of Communication, Henry Asante Twum, confirmed the discussions, stating, “Austria is one of the teams we are talking to to play after the Germany friendly game, and hopefully, when the contract is signed, we will make it official to the public”.
Ghana will face Germany on March 30 in Stuttgart as part of their preparations. The Black Stars are in Group L, alongside England, Croatia, and Panama, and will kick off their World Cup campaign against Panama on June 17 in Toronto.
