Ghana Communication Technology University, Nekotech Centre of Excellence, and Cloudware Forge Strategic Alliance to Drive Digital and Educational Innovation

ACCRA, Ghana – November 26, 2025 – A landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony is set to take place between Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU), the Nekotech Center of Excellence, and Cloudware. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, 26th November 2025, at 2:00 pm at the Presidents Board Room, GCTU.

The signatories will be Professor Emmanuel Ohene Afoakwa, Vice-Chancellor of GCTU, who was recently reappointed to a second term beginning March 1, 2025, and Her Excellency Rev. Dr. Asie Ocansey, Executive Chair of Nekotech Centre of Excellence. The ceremony will be witnessed by Professor Freeman of GCTU.

This tripartite partnership aims to synergize the strengths of academia, policy-driven innovation, and cutting-edge technology to foster digital skills development, research, and entrepreneurial growth in Ghana and across Africa.

The collaboration builds on the momentum of the recent international conference held at GCTU (Oct. 27-29, 2025), where H.E. Dr. Ocansey pre-launched her book, Decade of African Intelligence. It also follows Nekotech’s monumental success in facilitating $100 million each for Malawi and Sierra Leone for a 1000 STEM AI MBA Master’s program in the USA. This five-year pilot across six African nations, which just concluded, placed 79 students in 16 top U.S. universities.

Looking Ahead: International Launch in the USA

Directly following this MoU signing, delegations from Nekotech and GCTU will travel to the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) from February 23-28, 2026. The main events on February 24-25 will feature the official launch of H.E. Dr. Ocansey’s book, Decade of African Intelligence, and a showcase of “25 Top Careers in the USA in STEM AI MBA.”

The program will include panel discussions, exhibitions, and a unique African Tech and Fashion workshop conducted by the Abola Queenmothers, led by Naa Okaitsoe IV, Queenmother of Abola and Atofonye of Accra, who is deeply committed to the technological empowerment of not only Abola, but Ghanaian youth as a whole.
