Ghana Coach Praises Jerry Afriyie’s Return ahead of Egypt clash

Black Satellites coach Desmond Ofei is thrilled about the return of striker Jerry Afriyie to the squad ahead of their U-20 AFCON quarterfinal match against Egypt.

Afriyie had missed the team’s final Group C game due to club commitments.

Ofei praised Afriyie’s importance in the team’s attacking setup, saying, “Jerry is a key part of our attacking setup. His return gives us a boost at just the right time.” The coach appreciated CD Lugo’s understanding and collaboration in allowing Afriyie to rejoin the team.

The highly anticipated match against Egypt is set to kick off at 15:00 GMT at the New Suez Stadium.
