Ghana Coach Otto Addo Anticipates Tough Clash Against Madagascar
Ghana’s head coach, Otto Addo, has sounded a note of caution ahead of the Black Stars’ 2026 World Cup qualifier against Madagascar, acknowledging the difficulty of the upcoming clash.
Addo, speaking to the Ghana FA media, expressed admiration for Madagascar’s recent form, particularly their performance in their last game. “We’ve observed the Madagascar team, and they’ve done really well, especially in their last game. They’re in good form, and it’s going to be a tough game,” he noted.
Ghana’s dominant 5-0 victory over Chad in Accra on Friday night propelled them to the top of Group I with 12 points, maintaining a two-point lead over second-placed Madagascar.
As the four-time African champions push for their fifth appearance at the FIFA World Cup, set to be hosted across the USA, Canada, and Mexico, Addo’s team will be determined to secure a positive result against Madagascar.
The highly anticipated clash is scheduled to take place at the Al Hoceima Grand Stadium tonight, with kick-off set for 19:00 GMT.
