In a move to bolster economic cooperation between Ghana and Burkina Faso, President John Dramani Mahama has announced plans for a direct flight route between Accra and Ouagadougou.
Discussions are already underway to facilitate the initiative, which aims to enhance trade, investment, and people-to-people connections between the two West African nations.
Speaking after a high-level meeting with Burkina Faso’s military leader, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, President Mahama disclosed that a Ghanaian airline is set to operate daily flights between the two capitals.
This development is expected to ease travel constraints, boost tourism, and strengthen diplomatic ties.
