At the Court sitting today, July 19 2022, the Court approved the Ministry’s recommended Roadmap for the running of Amputee Football in the country and Ghana’s participation in the Amputee Football World Cup, pending the determination of the case before it.
The Judge maintained that the case should not hinder the players’ participation in the sport nor their chances of representing Ghana in the upcoming World Cup.
Further cleared the NPC and the NSA representation on the Management Committee though they are a party to the case; however, they are organs of the MOYS and therefore have roles to play in the implementation of the Roadmap with the supervision of the Ministry.
Meanwhile, the Cross Examination of Plaintiff’s witness by counsel Samson Ladi Anyenini for 2nd Defendant NPC-GHANA ended today on a note of admission by the witness that NSA denounced Plaintiff Ghana Amputee Football Federation in 2014 by letter dated November 14, and that NSA rather recognized 2nd Defendant NPC Ghana. He challenges the recognition as wrongful.
