GFA Takes Tough Stance Against Violence, Bans Two Clubs from Home Venues

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has indefinitely banned PAC Academy and Port City FC from hosting matches at their home venues due to violent incidents during recent Division One League matches.

The ban, effective immediately, was invoked under Article 14(2) of DOL Regulations, citing safety concerns for clubs, officials, and spectators. The GFA is investigating the incidents with the Ghana Police Service and will take decisive action once concluded.

The GFA’s Competitions Department will designate alternative venues for PAC Academy and Port City FC’s upcoming home matches, considering logistical factors.

The GFA condemns all forms of violence in Ghana football, urging stakeholders to uphold fair play and sportsmanship. Sympathies are extended to those affected, and the football public is assured of the GFA’s commitment to safety and integrity.
