The Vice Chairman of Ghana Beach soccer, Mr Yaw Gyamfi has expressed his gratitude to the Ghana Football Association for their support clubs that are varying to go this season.
Speaking at the launch of the 2022/23 Beach soccer league in Accra, he emphasized that for almost nine years, Beach Soccer has not been active in terms of the league but with the GFA support the Beach Soccer league will see a facelift.
” I would like to thank the GFA, especially the President and the General Secretary Prosper Harrison, it’s been very tough for the past 9 years, we all know that in recent times beach soccer has not been active apart from the beach soccer FA cup”.
“This time we are going to see a different league from what we have been doing for so many years now and this is the first time that the GFA is going to have a beach soccer league. ” He added.
Fourteen participating clubs from the Central Region, Eastern Region, and Volta Region will all play in this year’s beach soccer league.
Each participating team will be given 10,000 Gh cedis. The winner of the league will be paid 15, 000Gh cedis with the runner-up taking 700Gh cedis as a prize.
