GFA Sets May 18 Deadline for CAF Licence A Coaching Course Applications
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that May 18, 2025, is the deadline for submission of applications for the upcoming CAF “A” Licence Coaching Course. The course is designed for CAF “B” Licence holders who wish to upgrade their coaching credentials.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the course, applicants must:
– Have completed the CAF B Licence
– Have worked with the CAF B Licence qualification for a minimum of two years prior to the course start date
– Have done their Refresher Course within the stipulated time recently (especially for those who had their CAF A Licence before the introduction of the new CAF Convention)
Applicants must submit a completed Application Form to info@ghanafa.org, along with:
– A copy of their Passport or Ecowas Card details page
– Evidence from the club(s) they have been coaching for the last two years
– A written statement explaining why they need to undertake the CAF “A” Licence
Priority will be given to coaches who are currently working and living in Ghana, coaching in elite competitions (Ghana Premier League, Women’s Premier League, and Division One League), and those working with Regional Football Associations and national teams. Full-time coaching staff will be considered before part-time staff.
Successful applicants will be interviewed by a Panel at the GFA Technical Directorate. Only 20 successful candidates will be asked to pay the course fees and attend the course for each batch.
The CAF “A” Licence course is a step towards the CAF Pro Licence, which is fully organized at the CAF level rather than at the Association level.
The GFA Technical Directorate has worked tirelessly to ensure that the course curriculum meets the highest standards, and the approval of the CAF “A” Licence course curriculum by CAF is the final step in this process.
