Ghana Football Association (GFA) headquarters in Accra hosted a vibrant ceremony at its forecourt and has presented Nissan 4×4 Navara pickups to the ten Regional Football Associations (RFAs), a key deliverable of the FIFA Forward initiative under President Kurt Okraku’s administration.
These funds aimed to strengthen football infrastructure, and the vehicles were intended to enhance mobility for regional operations, from transporting players to organizing tournaments.
The event drew regional chairmen, coaches, and media, and the FA president Okraku addressed the crowd, emphasizing the vehicles’ role in advancing grassroots football as each RFA chairman received keys to a Navara, met with applause, as the vehicles promised to ease logistical challenges across Ghana’s diverse terrains.
To address concerns about maintenance, the GFA partnered with Nissan Ghana for subsidized servicing for two years, with FIFA Forward funds allocated for operational support. The ceremony closed with a group photo, chairmen holding keys beside the gleaming Navaras, marking a step toward stronger regional football networks.
