GFA Completes Sixth Consecutive FIFA Audit, Reinforces Financial Compliance
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has successfully completed its sixth consecutive FIFA audit, demonstrating its commitment to financial compliance and good governance.
The audit, conducted by global audit firm EY (Zurich), was undertaken onsite in March 2025 and coordinated by the GFA’s Chief Finance Officer, Collins Kwasi Dei.
The FIFA Central Review is a crucial compliance requirement, and failure to pass the audit could result in FIFA sanctions, including the suspension of funding, project support, and Forward Programme allocations.
The GFA’s successful completion of the audit underscores its dedication to maintaining the highest standards of financial management and transparency.
In addition to the FIFA audit, the GFA has also completed its statutory audit for the 2023/2024 season. International audit firm Baker Tilly Andah Andah finalized the audit, which covered the period from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024.
The report has been submitted to FIFA and will be included in the documents for the next GFA Congress, in line with Article 67 of the GFA Statutes.
The GFA will next prepare its financial statements for the 2024/2025 period by June 30, 2025, ahead of another statutory audit, which is expected to be completed and submitted to FIFA and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) by December 31, 2025.
The GFA’s commitment to financial compliance and good governance is essential for maintaining its reputation and ensuring the continued growth and development of football in Ghana.
The successful completion of the sixth consecutive FIFA audit is a testament to the current administration’s commitment to transparency and accountability.
Since assuming office in 2019, the administration has prioritized good governance and financial compliance, ensuring that the GFA operates within the bounds of international best practices.
