Asante Kotoko has been charged by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for inciteful social media comments following their goalless draw against FC Samartex on Matchday 11 of the Ghana Premier League.
The club’s official social media channels questioned the late penalty awarded to Samartex, claiming it occurred outside the box, which the GFA deemed inciteful and capable of provoking hostility toward match officials.
The charge falls under Section 34(6)(d) of the GFA Premier League Regulations, covering misconduct that brings the game into disrepute. Kotoko must submit their response by November 26, 2025.
Kotoko remain unbeaten this season, chasing leaders Aduana FC. This development adds to the tension following the match in Samreboi, placing additional responsibility on the club’s communication approach.
