George Afriyie Advocates For Otto Addo’s Continued Tenure as Black Stars Coach

Former vice president of the Ghana Football, George Akwasi Afriyie has expressed that he does not support the sacking of Otto Addo but rather allow him to continue with the process of the national team.

In an interview on another platform, George Afriyie acknowledged the challenges that come with the current Black Stars failure to secure qualification spots in the 2025 Afcon ,but emphasized that coach Otto Addo should be allow to continue with the process and learn on the job.

He believes that with time and experience, Addo can refine his strategies and improve the team’s performance.

“Sacking him would not solve the problems we face. Instead, we should provide him with the opportunity to learn on the job.”

The Black Stars failed to secured only one point in the two leg encounter with Sudan in the 2025 African cup of nations qualifiers .
