Some Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have begun reducing fuel prices at the pumps, following the start of the first pricing window in September.
This marks the third consecutive decrease in fuel prices by certain OMCs in recent pricing windows.
State-owned Goil, which previously sold petrol (Super XP) at GH₵14.22 during the second pricing window of August, is now offering it at GH₵14.16.
Diesel (Diesel XP), which was previously priced at GH₵14.90, is now retailing at GH₵14.70.
These marginal reductions are attributed to decreases in the prices of refined petroleum products on the international market, along with the relative stability of the cedi during this period.
Additional OMCs are anticipated to follow suit and reduce their prices in the coming days.
