Francis Abu has successfully undergone surgery for a fracture of two bones suffered during Ghana’s match against Japan.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) announced that the acute phase of Abu’s rehabilitation has commenced, with a physiotherapist staying with him to guide his intensive physiotherapy sessions.
The GFA, Black Stars management, and technical team are providing full support to Abu, with plans for a senior technical team member to accompany him to France after discharge from the Toyota Memorial Hospital. “We are grateful to everyone who supported us in this journey,” Henry Asante Twum, GFA Communication Director said, thanking the Black Stars management and technical team for their support.
The focus now shifts to Abu’s rehabilitation, with the GFA counting on continued support to ensure his return to full fitness. The football community wishes Abu a speedy and complete recovery.
