Richard Attah parted ways with Hearts of Oak at the end of the 2023/2024 season after four years where he made 13 league appearances and conceded 12 goals within the process with 2 clean sheets to his belt.
The stalwart goalkeeper has been clubless since last June and hopeful to return to competitive action when the January Transfer and Registration window opens. Talks, according to reports have advanced between the two parties and the former Elmina Sharks goalie is likely to pen down a two-year contract with the Koforidua based club.
“I’m training with division one side Port City and there is a possibility of joining them in the second round though some Premier League teams have shown interest ” “Port City is one of the best teams in Ghana and I like everything about them”, he said in an interview.
Richard Attah was part of the Black Stars final squad at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations staged in Cameroon following impressive show for that Hearts Of Oak’s treble winning team in 2021 under coach Samuel Boadu.
His inclusion will be crucial to the Port City who gained promotion for Division One League football after scoreing 18 goals and conceding only one in 5 games.
The Club is currently competing in Zone Three of the 2024/25 Access Bank Division One League. Their aim is to rise through the ranks to elite football.
