Dear Sirs,

I am writing to express my deep outrage and grief over the recent actions of the Ghana Armed Forces personnel stationed at the Binduri Camp. Instead of protecting all citizens as mandated, your forces appear to be providing selective protection to a few individuals while innocent civilians are left vulnerable. Under your watch, five people were brutally killed and one injured last night. This represents a grave dereliction of duty and a betrayal of the trust placed in the Armed Forces by the Ghanaian people.

Your presence in Binduri should bring peace and security, not fear and division. The actions of some soldiers suggest bias and complicity in ongoing violence. If neutrality cannot be maintained, it would be better for the troops to withdraw from the area altogether. The people of the Kusaug Traditional Area deserve protection, not persecution.

I therefore call on the government to act swiftly to:

  1. Withdraw and thoroughly investigate the troops stationed in Binduri and their alleged involvement in the violence;

  2. Ensure the protection of all citizens, regardless of ethnicity or background;

  3. Bring all perpetrators to justice and provide support and redress to the victims and their families.

The people of Binduri will not be silenced or intimidated. We demand accountability, justice, and the restoration of peace.

Sincerely,
Henry Mbilla Inusah
