Faisal Charwetey Deserves Black Stars Call-up – Kennedy Boakye Ansah

Nations FC Brands Manager Kennedy Boakye Ansah believes Faisal Charwetey should be included in Ghana’s Black Stars squad for the upcoming Unity Cup tournament in England.

Charwetey has been in impressive form, scoring 11 goals and providing an assist in 27 league games this season.

Boakye Ansah argues that Charwetey’s current form makes him a strong candidate for a call-up, stating, “It would be extremely suicidal if he didn’t have an opportunity to start for the Black Stars.” He believes Charwetey’s performances on the local scene warrant consideration.

The Black Stars face Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and Nigeria in the Unity Cup from May 27 to May 31, with potential absences including Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus, and Antoine Semenyo. Boakye Ansah’s call for Charwetey’s inclusion highlights the opportunity for emerging talents to shine.

While the final decision rests with Black Stars coach Otto Addo, Boakye Ansah’s endorsement adds weight to Charwetey’s case. “I believe that… there is no doubt that Faisal Charwetey should be part of the squad for the Unity Cup.”
