Asante Kotoko is set to face Eleven Wise on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, in the MTN FA Cup Round of 16
The match will take place at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, organizers MTN FA Cup Committee has announced.
This highly anticipated clash was initially postponed due to the tragic death of a devoted Kotoko fan, Yaw Frimpong, popularly known as ‘Nana Pooley’.
The team had suspended all first-team football activities for three weeks to mourn the loss.
Now that the mourning period is nearing over, Kotoko is ready to resume football activities. The Ghana Premier League is also set to resume on March 7, 2025, after a month-long suspension.
The winner of the Kotoko-Eleven Wise match will advance to the quarterfinals, joining seven other teams in the next stage of the competition.
With several top teams, including Hearts of Oak and Medeama, already eliminated, the competition is heating up and Kotoko remains huge favorites to clinch the title.
