Ex-Vice President Bawumia Donates GH₵100,000 to Support Electrocuted Young Man

The generosity of former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has brought hope and relief to Bernard Mensah, a young man from Mampomah in the Twifo Area. Mensah’s life took a devastating turn during the 2024 election campaign when he was electrocuted while fixing streetlights, resulting in the loss of one of his hands.

Mensah’s plight caught the attention of Dr. Bawumia after his story was posted on social media, prompting the former Vice President to donate GH₵100,000 to support Mensah’s upkeep and well-being. This heartwarming gesture is a testament to Dr. Bawumia’s compassion and commitment to supporting those in need.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Dr. Bawumia has demonstrated his generosity. He previously donated GH₵100,000 to veteran gospel musician Yaw Sarpong, who was battling a stroke.

Mensah’s story highlights the importance of kindness and generosity, especially towards those who have faced unexpected tragedies.

The support from Dr. Bawumia and others will undoubtedly go a long way in helping Mensah recover and rebuild his life.
