Jake Paul floored the former UFC star three times before a brutal knockout left Mike Perry in a mess.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer scored three significant knockdowns on Saturday night, but Perry didn’t give up until the sixth round when the referee intervened to save him.
In round one, it appeared as though Paul would eliminate Perry quickly. After giving Perry a hard knockdown, “The Problem Child” continued to land flush on him after he stood up.
Paul started round two with a knockdown that was significantly more forceful than the first.
Perry valiantly stood up again, but it appeared like it would not be long until his opponent caught him off guard and ended the show.
But the former UFC fighter persisted in charging forward, and it began to pay off at the conclusion of the second stanza when he connected on many powerful punches. Before round three began, Paul could be seen in his corner, panting for breath.
For the next several minutes, Perry kept him on the back foot, but Paul was clearly the better boxer, and he proved it in the next frame.
His best round of the fight was the fourth. Although the 27-year-old influencer failed to knock Perry down, the referee appeared to be about to end the battle because of Perry’s unsteady legs.
In the sixth round, Perry was knocked down hard again, but he managed to get back up.
To prove he is fit to fight, the official within the ring instructed him to go for a walk. Because Perry staggered, the fight was called off to spare him from more punishment.
