Ghanaian entertainment critic Bongo Ideas has taken a swipe at musician Sista Afia, also known as Queen Solomon, following her complaints about the lack of support from fellow artists.
Sista Afia recently expressed frustration over how she consistently promotes her colleagues’ songs but receives no reciprocity when she needs help pushing her own music.
In response, Bongo Ideas dismissed her concerns, stating that her lack of hit songs has nothing to do with industry support but rather the quality of her music. He pointed out that even collaborations with top artists like Shatta Wale failed to make an impact.
Bongo further suggested that instead of blaming others, Sista Afia should focus on creating better music or consider switching to selling waakye (a popular Ghanaian dish). He added that unless she improves, even featuring Jesus Christ himself wouldn’t guarantee a hit song.
