On Thursday night, Black Stars winger Ernest Nuamah starred in Olympic Lyon’s 2-0 win over Olympiacos in the Europa League.
Nuamah was torn to shreds by Olympiakos all evening and was rated 7.2 following 81 minutes of game time.
He was a constant threat on the right flank and came close to opening the score several times.
Lyon broke the deadlock in the 65th minute when Ryan Cherki scored. Later, Wilfred Zaha set up Said Benrahma who made it 2-0 for the home side.
Nuamah’s showing is a morale booster following his return from injury. The 20-year-old was replaced in the 81st minute by Mahamadou Diawara.
With Ghana struggling in the 2025 Afcon qualifiers Coach Otto Addo could hand him a call-up in October ahead of Ghana’s double header against Sudan.
