Erik ten Hag and Ruud van Nistelrooy appear to be having a heated conversation in a video that has been circulated on social media during Manchester United’s goalless draw with Aston Villa.
The Red Devils want to terminate their winning streak, but after a dismal performance in the West Midlands, the run has already reached five games.
After seven games, the Red Devils, who saw Marcus Rashford almost receive a red card and saw Harry Maguire leave the game with an injury at halftime, are currently 14th in the Premier League.
Erik ten Hag was still under a lot of pressure despite the lackluster performance, especially with the Manchester United management and the entire INEOS watching.
Ten Hag and Ruud van Nistelrooy got into a heated argument on the bench, as seen in a video that was shared on social media. The discussion was recorded by Sky Sports cameras.
Their heated gestures and body language suggested disagreement, however it was difficult to interpret their exact words.
van Nistelrooy has also been speculated as a potential interim successor should the club’s leadership decide to make a move.
With just eight points from their first seven games in the Premier League, United is having their poorest start ever.
This season, the 20-time English champions have dropped three league games, including crushing home defeats to Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.
